I’m Lesley, and this site is for people over 50 who want to build an income for retirement. It is about Wealthy Affiliate, the platform I recommend for doing that, and I earn a referral commission if you join through my links.
Who I am
I wear a lot of hats: mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, colleague and widow. I am also a Christian believer, and my faith is part of who I am, so it is part of this site too.
Why I started
I have worked my whole life. I was brought up to get a good education and then a good job, and that is what I did. The problem with that plan is that work stops when you retire, and so does your income.
I have not saved enough to retire comfortably. I also need something to keep me busy once I stop working, because I know I will want that as much as the money. As I thought about it, I realised that many other people are in the same position.
That is why this site exists. If you are looking at retirement and wondering how the numbers will work, you are not the only one asking.
Who this is for
This site is for you if you are over 50 and building retirement income. It is also for you if you are in or near retirement and want something intellectually stimulating to keep you busy.
You do not need to be an expert in anything technical to follow along. You do need to be willing to learn, because building an income online is a skill like any other, and it takes time to get good at it.
